Just ordered one. $507 with shipping and tax but useless without it. I had a buldge show up about two years ago less than 18" from tip. Thanks for the heads up Wheels, they are hard to find.
Looking for a barrel for my M1 rh black 12ga. would prefer a 24 or 26" but would consider anything, Must of shot it when plugged as barrel has a bulge at 18",
Great pic! Love seeing the little ones out there. Getting tougher on the east side. I walked 13.2 miles yesterday for two shots (missed the easier one). I cant imagine how many miles the dogs put on.
Spotty right now in SD as expected this time of year. Limited easily on public Sat and Mon but four of us struggled to get four birds on a hard hunt Sunday. Weather has been great and seeing lots of hens so hoping on next year already.
I vote Draht. I live in Sd and hunt pheasants over 50 days per season have had labs, wirehairs and drahts. In the last two weeks my young draht has retrieved pheasants, geese, coon and a couple coyotes. Oh and he came back with a possum from his kennel break today too. They have a "shutoff"...
I have two vests I like equally well. Gamehide vest I bought for 44.95 and a chief upland I paid over $300 for with the accessories. I know its cool to look good out there but sometimes I think we are overthinking all this stuff. Both vests do what they were designed for very well.
My DD will be two next week. Today in SD we harvested 3 cottontails, a squirrel, a coyote and only one rooster. Precooking the small game for fried rice as I'm typing this. Should've had three roosters but....having trouble getting used to gloves is my excuse. My GWP was with but is turning 11...
Two GWPs and a Draht, I feed the 30/20 diamond after problems with PPP and been happy. I also feed scraps and deer bones and trim whenever available and see an obvious improvement in their coat when I have raw meat consistently.
Dont over think it. Come to Sd and hunt birds. Train for recall and collar condition before season and have fun. There is some public land N or S of Chaimberlain that will have birds the whole season if you get out and walk a ways. Enjoy!!
Bird numbers are good, not great but good. I took the month of Nov off and didnt have any big game tags this year so bird hunted 28 of 30 days of Nov. Stayed within 75 miles of Sioux Falls and found birds on public every day. The roosters are getting thinned out but still plenty to be had if...
