Get a resistance release (Carter Evolution, the current one is my favorite). It will absolutely force you to change your current process and there is no punching it since there’s no trigger/thumb button/hinge which can all be punched or dumped. While target panic is actually stems from the...
Boston1 had some good points.
I’ll add a couple:
1) have realistic expectations of what you want to shoot. Newfoundland has some good moose but when I was coming back last year I spoke with a bunch of hunters and it turns out there is a lot of “meat hunting” up there where they pound the...
This is the silliest thing in archery to come along in a long time.
Most all of what they advertise and say make these superior can be found elsewhere in some great shafts for at least 1/4-1/3 of what they’re charging. Additionally, some of what they are promoting as “so important”, many...
Good podcast on Nock-On about this. It’s number 349 from June 10th. It’s not long but they cover where the advanced software in a rangefinder comes into play.
I’ve been through several of the higher end and middle grade ones and now have the Leupold Fulldraw 5 and it’s hands down the best one...
Did this last year from Georgia. Long ride but a great trip. I took a big freezer and generator that filled up most of the bed of a Chevrolet 2500. Hit. Was a fly in hunt, have someone at base camp turn your freezer and generator on a couple of days before you fly out. Feel free to call me at...
Amazing to watch. All of those guys who sacrificed their lives deserve so much but yet get so little. Glad this guy was able to experience a hunt like that. Everyone who was involved deserves a thank you.
Get a resistance release and give it a few weeks. Game changer. Get close and focus on your form and your release, ignore the impact. Don’t rush it. You’re in a battle with your brain and nothing physical. Been there and have dealt with this over the past 20 years.
Another opinion here since so many others have thrown in on this.
Not that my stamp of approval makes a difference, but I say go for it.
So long as you’ve planned accordingly in your overall financial plan for this who cares. Maybe you work for an extra year, or shift priorities in regards to...
I’ve found that the pics that dentist use to clean you teeth work really well to get those are to deal with pieces. Wife brush as someone mentioned helps.
Yep. Shot a nice bull. Other three guys did too. 3 of them were really nice. The other guys shot a smaller one after missing a nice bulk earlier in the week.
I was up there 9/17-9/24. I hunted with Effords on a fly in hunt. As for the exact area it was on the southern side of the island about 50 miles inland and about an hour and half drive east of the ferry port with about a 40 mile flight further into the country. I didn’t pay attention to the...
Mathews Phase 4 33, granite/subalpine limbs. 28/70 and I have 28/75 mods too. SCS connect system is not on the bow although it is pictured. It will have a grip for it as well or you can have the side plates that are on it. Comes with integrate rest too. Bow will have a brand new set of Threadz...
I did the drive last year solo from Georgia. I enjoy the time in the truck and the experience it brings.
-if you’re crossing on the ferry at night get a room. They’re cheap and a good chance to get one last shower before you get into the woods. Book it now as they get taken quickly. If you...
