    Stoeger m3000 with a Carlson coyote choke. Shooting Remington 3” #4 buck. Topped with a Vortex razor. Deadly out to 55 yards.

    Best Lightweight Bipod for Backpack Hunt

    Modern evolution bipod is adaptable and works well for us. Used mostly for Coues and elk. I like the longer legs in the tall grass.

    I shoot the 225 eldm out of a 300 RUM and have taken two elk right at the 800 range. They are accurate and have big wound channels. No tracking involved

    225 Eldm for LR elk

    I have had good success with the 225 ELDm (300 RUM)on elk out to 800 yards. Devastating wound channel. Shot placement is the key and as previously mentioned I would avoid shoulder shots. Good hunting.

    I also wear a 9.5 regular. I recently bought the the Crispi Thor in 9.5. Should have bought a 10.
