Kentucky's gun season is short. 16 days. Bag limits vary per hunting unit. In my area it was 4, only one buck statewide.
If the weather sucks or you have conflicts with your schedule those 16 days go fast.
Mid November the weather is all over the place.
Tennessee's gun season opens the...
Well at least you don't try and fluff it up.
The way I see it the resident hunters are being used as a pawn to get the 90-10 passed.
Shortly after that they will find out that the 5% goes to the big landowners and outfitters.
Later they will find out that the same group will be cutting into...
Got my first 50 pieces of brass empty and started prepping them.
Sized and then went to trim them. Only had to trim about 10 out of 50. Another 10 were at the trim to length. The other 30 were a bit less than trim to length.
Primer pockets & flash holes look good.
Very interesting read. Some really good thoughts / perspective's.
Every year I spend some quality time at the range practicing. When hunting season starts I am pretty familiar with what my effective range is. Even then, each day is different. Quality of rest, weather, etc all effect ones...
Not really.
The buyer of the rifle gets the first option for the scope.
If the rifle doesn't sell I'll still need something on it to aim with.
Shoot me a PM regarding the scope. If the rifle sells without the scope I let you know, however you are #2 in line. Someone else has already sent me...
I will also consider a trade for a similar condition Model 70 or Rem 700 in .30-06 or .257 Roberts. Preference would be for a 22" barrel.
Price is also negotiable.
I agree with both of you.
MTSasquatch is speaking from a professional point of view.
I can say from my experience that the decision maker isn't always the competent qualified individual. It used to be that expierience rose through the ranks and the guy at the helm was the most qualified...
To sweeten the pot:
I will cover all shipping to the lower 48.
I will also include the last remaining factory ammo I have for this rifle.
45 rounds of 150gr Federal Fusion.
Send me a PM. I can help you with that.
I found one. Picked it up today. 25-06 Featherweight.
I feel like a kid a Christmas.
That is where the one I got came from. I sure hope you are right.
So far the Norma .30-06 ammo is holding 1 MOA. I have a couple boxes of older standard Federal with 150's. They have shot a bit under 1 MOA in this rifle.
The real reason I bought the Norma ammo is for the brass. The ammo I got was less than what Norma brass was going for......... IF I could...
You can take a lot of game within 400 yards if you can shoot 400 yards well.
Put good glass on the rifle you just bought and learn to shoot it well.
If your a hunter, you should be able to get within 400 yards of just about anything you want to take.
So bottom line is two things. Learn to...
Remington Sendaro with a 26" barrel and a Remington Mountain Rifle with a 22" barrel, both in 25-06.
I primarily shoot 115gr Partitions out of the MR. It loves them and has never failed to put deer on the ground with one shot.
I've shot everything from prairie dogs to deer with the Sendaro...
Took a while using the search but I found my answer. (and learned some other useful stuff in the process)
Last year I bought 500 pieces of .25-06 de-milled Federal bass. I guess when a lot of ammo doesn't pass QC they pull the bullets, dump the powder and sell the brass & bullets.
The nice...
You should be able to get into a Leupold FX3 6x42 for under $500 as well.
I haven't given mine an endurance test yet, but I expect it to hold up just like all the others I've used have.
