WTS Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42 (no box)

If this is an IHR reticle I will take it. Edit to add, I believe the zero stopped IHR model is C483

    Would you buy this scope?

    Yep.

    Would you buy this scope?

Because that's lighter than anything comparable (to the listed specs) currently in production. If given the choice of two scopes with the same reliability/functionality/quality, I'll choose the lighter of the two. I would likely be in for multiples. I like the RS1.2, but it will be a rare thing...

    Harness

Yeah, I'd asked about pre-purchase or a notification a while back but they didn't have an option for either.

    Harness

I'm sure they were expected. Being produced by someone else, XOP likely has no control over anything but ordering and paying. They'll get it when they get it I guess...or they guess. I would like to try one.

    Harness

As far as I can tell, the Holiday hasn't been available yet. Perhaps someone has gotten one pre-production, but I've been watching XOP's website like a hawk and emailed XOP asking "when?".

    RokStok

Scope placement is something to consider on the Rokstok. I didn't consider it until I switched a barreled action to it. The Rokstok required me to mount the scope more forward than usual so I can get low enough to align with it. Using UM low's, I have to really work to get my head forward so I...

    I'll take this. Sending pm.

    Best Harness.

It's not the same as a true harness, but for how I use bino's, I'm a big fan of the Rick Young Bino Harness: https://rickyoungoutdoors.com/basic-ultra-light-bino-harness/ ...usually paired with his neoprene cover when travelling or not in use...

Echelon CF Versa Ultralight Riflestock Review, By Torin Miller

Sorry it took me so long to post these...busy time. Here are a few pics beside an RS. The seams of the floor are approximately lined up with the bore, though the angle of the camera is a little off, it gives you a rough reference. If there's something particular you'd like a picture of let me...

6mm arc build Howa Mini or buy complete

Off the top of my head... 7-08 Defiance build, couldn't be used with 25 MOA rings to set a 200 yard zero, with those rings I was still ~3 mil high at 200 and out of "down". Switched to a 20 MOA base, set 0@200, which left ~.5 mil "down" travel and all of the 4.8 mil up. .308 Tikka, when...

    Harness

I appreciate the detailed reply Mac. I'd seen the dryad. The one I've been eyeing for a long while now is the XOP Holiday...but they've yet to receive them. They are supposed to receive "a massive shipment mid to late August". I keep checking but nothing yet.

6mm arc build Howa Mini or buy complete

I'm a fan of the DNZ 30 mm 4 screw rings on the mini. When you are able to sight it in, I'm curious to know how elevation travel turns out with the scope. From my experience (not on a mini), I've had to use a 20 MOA rail for a 200 yard zero to allow enough "up" left over to make use of the BDC...

    Harness

For those of you using a rock climbing harness, are you using one with lineman's loops and if so, which one? I've looked briefly but haven't seen one yet that I'd go with over a simple saddle, mainly because the lineman's loops are heavy metal D rings. ...but again, I've only done quick...

Current State Of Your Gear/Gun Room?

Gun/ammo/reloading/training room was in good shape until Sunday when I started looking for a specific rifle's factory box. In the process I decided I needed to organize the storage/attic...whole lotta boxes got brought down to "my" room. Haven't been home enough to clean it up yet.

6mm arc build Howa Mini or buy complete

I was shooting a SS 6.5 Gr mini Saturday along with a CM .223 mini. Like you mentioned, the stainless felt smoother to me, noticeably so.

I'll try to take a few quick pics one evening this week and post them here.

Echelon CF Versa Ultralight Riflestock Review, By Torin Miller

A quick measurement shows the trigger reach to be ~1.75". It seems about the same as the RokStok. It is a thicker, with more squared edges, grip than the RokStok. This is mainly noticeable to me on the thumbshelf in relation to the grip. I prefer the RokStok's grip but it's not that the EV's is...

Echelon CF Versa Ultralight Riflestock Review, By Torin Miller

I've been shooting one for about a month now that I purchased second hand. I like it. The weight was a big factor for me. I'll try to get a measurement of the trigger reach this weekend and reply here.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

In my experience, the biggest pro for going AI with the .223 is if you reload and hate trimming. The more you shoot/load, the bigger the pro on this. You get a little speed, but you can get more going other routes. You retain the ability to shoot .223, and in my experience with several...
