I went with a buddy I knew pretty well.
he sat in the tent and looked at a picture of his wife and child and cried every night till I folded and we went home after a couple days. Never know how someone will handle the hunt.
2 pin slider works best for me. You have a little room if animal is walking. 5 pins isn’t bad in my yard but too much to think about when I’m trying to arrow something. Just my personal experience.
Really appreciate the airport workers in Alaska. You all make life easier for the traveling sportsmen. I’ll hopefully be in Kodiak next year if I draw a goat tag.
I’m new to this site so not sure if everyone is against the brand but I have 2 fierce rifles and I have been really happy with them. One is 270 wsm and the other is 300wm. Both shoot great. Both are the cheaper model with steel barrels. Around 2k each.
Bowhunting is more of a personal pursuit for most people including myself. Though just being out in the wilderness and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and reconnecting with nature is the greatest gift in hunting.
Dans chaps. Can’t hurt them. I also have an old cabelas wind proof coat. It’s all orange. No idea of model but I’ve worn it for years and I can’t get rid of it.
