    ELD-X is it unreliable for close range hunting (less than 200 yards) and should it only be used for long range?

    I’ve HEARD one horror story on an elk with an ELD-X but I’ve SEEN one perfect performance by em in person…2 broadside shots on a bison at 125 yards, one pass through, one lodged on off side hide perfect mushroom…I was impressed and tend to lean towards things I see…not my personal bullet choice...

    In my personal experience the more room I’ve got the more crap I’m gonna pack that I’m probably not going to use anyways…I’ve never had trouble carrying everything I need plus some in a 4800-5 pack for 5-7 day hunt

    I’ll agree with what’s been stated above and just say I’ve never once said on an elk hunt “damn wish I had my spotter!” Put that 200 towards anything else for your trip or in a Mason jar to start savin for a good spotter cuz amigo, there ain’t a spotting scope for 200 bucks that’s any good

    What do you guys do with the “brown” meat in this picture? This is off an antelope that went into a cooler and ice as as soon as humanly possible. It doesn’t smell bad just looks bad. Do y’all eat it or trim and toss it? It’s not too bad on a hind quarter picture here but I hate trimming it off...
