    8x as Primary Glassing Optic?

I just upgraded to EL 8.5x42 so maybe I’ll feel differently but as of now I can’t imagine going on a deer hunt without a spotter. I have a maven CS.1a and while I know there’s a lot better out there, it’s still extremely useful to get a closer look. I find myself glassing with it at least 50% of...

    Maven C.4 - 15X56

I don’t have experience with the C4 but I’ve owned the C1/C3 for a few years now. The low light performance is much better in your other optics but I think the C series performs quite well once the sun is up. The biggest concern I’d have would be resale value. Seems like people take quite a...

    WTT Kowa 774 for 773

I may be interested in the 774 (pending sale of my current spotter) but I’m not sure if I can still purchase an eyepiece for that model

Secondary Glass for WY Mule Deer

I’d feel very underprepared going into a mule deer hunt without a spotter. While it’s typically a rock, sometimes that questionable object actually turns out to be a deer! I use an eyepatch and it drastically reduces eye fatigue while using a spotter

Which mini spotter would you pick?

I have the maven CS1.A and I really like it. I haven’t compared it to the razor 56 but I imagine they’re similar quality level. The ATC is definitely a lot better than my maven, I’m looking to upgrade in the next few years

    Calling all Colorado Bear aficionados

Anyone have any pictures of chokecherry or other prime bear food? I Google search and I just get pictures of berries and fruit trees and I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like that in Colorado

    Spotting scopes…

I really like my Maven C series spotter. I believe it’s a really good deal. I have a Magview and think it’s solid but have limited experience with others. I have an angled version and I’m looking to switch to a straight version if you’re interested in purchasing let me know

    New Benchmade Meatcrafter- 4" blade

Do you mean field dressing with the Fibrox or just butchering at home? I’m looking for a good knife for field dressing and deboning but I have a hard time following through with spending the money on a benchmade

    Must-Haves for Western Hunts

If it’s cold and snowy I like to bring a jetboil even on a dayhunt. When you get cold and can’t make a fire it’s not only a lifesaver but also a great moral boost. Sipping on hot water keeps you warm and not running to the truck late in the evening when you’re most likely to see moving deer...
