Three generations. My dad, me and my son. First time antelope hunting for all of us. Done on day one. Thanks to Trey Aars and Darren at Double A Outfitters of Moorcroft, WY.
I'm not a Rage fan but I'll admit it opened him up pretty good. Quartering away angle and it zipped about a 6" gash on its way in. Blood everywhere and did about a 50 yards after running a half-circle
My son took this deer last night. It was with a group of smaller bucks but this one was the only one still in velvet so decided he wanted it. After we pulled it out to the field edge and flipped it over to begin field dressing, we were surprised to find out it was a doe. That would explain why...
I could see where that could be a concern. Fortunately I haven't had that experience, not yet anyway. On one shot it passed through a doe and stuck right into the root ball on a hardwood tree. Had to unscrew it from the arrow and it was in so deep I needed pliers to get it out. That one I ended...
I was always a Thunderhead guy too but after 1 season of foolishly trying Rages years ago I went back to fixed heads and have since been using the Woodsman Elites in 125. 3 blade 1 piece, easy to re-sharpen. I've had several pass throughs where they still drove down a good 6-8" into the dirt...
1- Assign camp chores and duties ahead of time so things run efficient.
2- For the love of God bring what you need to dig and maintain a proper latrine. Especially with that many guys. Nothing worse than finding that the last group to use the same camp area just walked out in different routes...
This does run like a true XL. I have two jetstreams and both are in 2xl and with most of the Sitka shirts I have, I've found 2xl fits best. I'm 6'2" and 225 athletic build and this jacket in regular xl fits me perfect. Great deal here. Good luck, this shouldn't last long at this price.
Yeah but lately the courts have been putting the kibosh on these kinds of warrants. In addition to that, Google and others are refusing to honor these requests and even warrants sometimes. This article was 2021 and things have definitely changed since then. Seems to be back and forth at best
Some of this stuff is in my truck all the time anyway, and some I add when I make the cross -country trip. This is right off my "Truck Stuff" list for when I'm packing:
Two tow straps (Never know when you’ll need the extra length)
2 D-shackles
2 extra ratchet straps
1 tire plug kit
1 can...
Well I shot a full box out of it today and it was a tack driver, so I assume all is well with the clearance and the quality of the mount. Thanks for the replies
The eye relief is perfect actually, and it comes up very nice. He and I are about the same build/shoulder size/arm length so I assume it's right where he wants it too.
I'm not adjusting it since it's his gun, but there looks to be about 3/4" more he could stretch it, although I don't know if it...
I'm not buying this exact gun and set-up. I just want to try the rifle itself and for now I have it on loan. Personally I'd want just a bit more gap, and a different scope. I just noticed how close he has it, so it's the proverbial "asking for a friend". I told him it looked a little tight for...
I was wondering if anyone has any input on whether the clearance on this scope from the barrel is enough?
I don't have any type of feeler gauges to measure with, but I can say this: 2 sheets of paper will slide between the gap with ease. 3 sheets and there is contact but it will pass. 4 sheets...
Kodiak 10x14. If you're thinking about it, do yourself a favor and go 10x14, well worth the extra 4'.
Perfect for 2 cots with room for a table and some gear.
Breathes, so you can use a propane heater w/out worry or condensation.
Sheds rain and snow.
I can set mine up in about 15 minutes. Take...
At least I feel like I'm not alone! If I use my 25 year old son as comparison (who has excellent vision both normal viewing and color), I know I can hang with him when it comes to spotting game both through glass and the naked eye. We're on par there.
But when it comes to blood trailing...
