I guess you're right, plenty of things to complain about and we did complain plenty to ourselves. But looking back, it was all part of the experience. Luckily we had a great outcome, unlike others who weren't so lucky didn't even see an animal.
Myself, my wife, brother, and dad hunted with Arctic Air in 2024. We were originally booked in 2021 but dealt with the closure, old owners, new owners, etc..
2 weeks before we were supposed to leave we got a call asking if we'd be willing to switch our flights from KOTZ to Fairbanks. We didn't...
Pretty much SOL for us.. They said our only option pretty much is that we could roll over our deposit to the next available year. What's been everyone else's experience when it comes to a "refund" for this? Of course this happens the year I am finally booked. Booooooo
Not a wyoming resident or would offer for sure! Good luck and hope you can find them. I heard that the elk come out of the wilderness later in the hunt.
We have a muzzy tag this year. Try and find a spot that isn’t as popular. We found a pocket away from the large crowds and it has produced some nice bulls.
I have 8 points and am having a hell of a time figuring out where to put in. It is crazy to me to waste almost double digit points on a general tag for residents. However, if the hype is really that good, maybe it's worth it?
That's a nice buck! I had the archery tag 2 years ago and had a blast. Lots of bucks. Seems like the muzzy hunt can be a little tricky because they are in their transition stage of moving down. A lot of people hunt them high still but weather and pressure can move them down a bit.
I'm new to the site but can give you some info on the roadless. I had the tag 2 years ago and ended up hunting the roaded side. I found a few spots that held some nice deer but didn't find anything that was over 185. Fun unit with how many bucks are there though! Good luck and don't hesitate to...
