My score from today. They had 5-6 bottles of eagle rare so I thought I would give it a try. The Old Elk is a straight wheat whiskey which sounds interesting.

I’m exceeding the velocity that hammer touted. I am just under 3,250 with the 110. I think they tout that at around 3,200. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Here is the output for a COAL of 2.95". To load at that COAL the barrel will likely need to be throated. Cartridge : 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady Bullet : .264,121,HV 291 GS Custom Useable Case Capaci: 48.825 grain H2O = 3.170 cm³ Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.950 inch = 74.93 mm Barrel...

Sure- I used 2.8” to be conservative. Quickload does take the COAL into account for the case fill.

For shits and giggles here is data for XBR. I think it might be a better choice than H4350 here. Cartridge : 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady Bullet : .264,121,HV 291 GS Custom Useable Case Capaci: 46.746 grain H2O = 3.035 cm³ Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.800 inch = 71.12 mm Barrel Length...

H4350 is slower burning then varget and therefore requires more powder. With the longer lighter hammer bullets you run out of case capacity. For example here are some quickload runs. Notice the Fill %. In my experience I usually end up in the "do not load" areas, but you can still only compress...

If you guys can find Varget I think it’s better for the lighter bullets. I’m using the 110 hammer hunters and with 43.8 gns of varget I can get them going 3,220 FPS out of a 26” barrel. H4350 works better for the 140 gn class bullets in the 6.5 creedmor.

    Badlands 50% off sale

I ordered a large based on their sizing chart, that was a mistake. I'm going to have to exchange them for XL's. Hopefully its pretty easy.

I read somewhere on his boards that he’s backed away from that recommendation. I can’t recall why though.

I found a bottle today at my local liquor store and paid $75. I don’t think that, or even $80 is a bad price for it. Supply and demand unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

For that weight bullet h4350 is a fine choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

There aren’t any pressure signs, but it’s scooting! Steve at hammer really likes the 110 in the 6.5 Creedmoor so I went that route. I also tried the 117 shock hammers for sub 500 yard stuff. I got those to 3,100. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

    140gr sst vs 147 eld-m in 6.5creedmoor

I just picked up a t3x hunter in 6.5 creedmor for deer. I’m running the 110 hammer hunters(ca lead free) at 3,200 FPS with varget. For the 140/147 class bullets it’s tough to beat h4350.

    Powder Thrower

Interesting... What is the difference between the precision throw and something like the uniflow? They look pretty darn similar.
