I agree, everyone should have at least one in there collection. If for nothing else just to have. And not everyone can shoot them well or build them well, but when they can... There's that word "magical" it truly feels that way.

Your absolutely right. There are some trad groups close, but like I was sayin, I'm usually to busy working or fishing with the family, or out tryin to git on some pigs. Infact, this forum is actually the most social I've been in a looong time.

ya i've done business with them quite a few times. It's a good 3 hr drive for me so mail order is what I generally stick with. As far as groups go, nope I sure don't. Usually to busy to make it to any shoots.

I sure do hope you can get it all lined out. It took me what seemed like forever to wrap my head around tuning and being able to separate tuning issues from form issues. Then one day, it was like a light turned on, it all made sence to me.....lol

The 3 rivers calculator works pretty good, But I personally prefer the Stu Miller calculator, it seems to be a bit more accurate/realistic without having to calibrate in the personal form factor. Although, at times it can be a little glitchy. but still a better calc. IMO
