Some good recoemmendations here....I have used a Sawzall for years and just wipe with paper towel. Bone shards are so fine they don't bother...and the yellow DeWalt paint wipes off too if you are lik eme and didn't think of the burn off or staninless blades. Don't need to trim - key to...
All good recommendations here, but as one mentioned, at $1000, think used. As HD coatings, and other imoprovements have come along many people trading up, and for aroudn a grand you can pick up some nice glass used.
Glad you had a good experience at the 6’er…they do have some drug/prostitution busts there in the parking lot occasionally. Just depends on what the crowd is.
I live here, so thanks for stopping in. As a Cabela's Ex-pat, agree with many of the comments. Don't bother with the Cabela's store unless you want to buy Moon pies, fleece blankeys or womens clothes. If you need something for your hunt, odds are if they carry it, it won't be in stock.

Hello-
You've got a plan and looks like a good one and hope you have a great adventure on this crazy loop of a trip. As I mentioned, I am just an hour or so away from Cheyenne, Wyoming (on the Nebraska side), but if you end up with more meat than you have bee able to use/donate and are going...
@RickyAT congrats on the tags and a solid plan you have in place. Wish you the best of luck, and sounds like an awesome adventure that many of us would like to be on. Crazy that there was 6 pages of bashing/second-guessing on something like this...and the reason my post count here is not too...
Not all scenarios are going to be glass from a distance and plan for awhile to make a stalk....a lot of videos show that. i played guide for several buddies that were expecting that scenario....and instead, sometimes you roll up on some decent lopes and need to act fast. It is a fun hunt with...
Had a 2010 Ex and kept it until 2022. Loved it. Worked great for our little kids. Ran awesome. Tons of storage. At 125k, you are near timing belt so as others have said need to have that done - likley $700-$900. We got rid of our before doing that.
Agree to much of all the above, but would add to discuss expectations of cat AHEAD of booking and planning. Some places can pressure into shooting smaller cats/females if that is all they are finding. Definitely go "on-call" if you can - success goes WAY up in fresh snow conditions including...
Yes to what everyone has posted - good to get comfortable with a few pieces. And definitely read the reviews online - they post height and weight and many comment on fit. From that, I use as additional data to make my decision since yes, returns are a pain with them.
I would doubt it will fit. I tried and returned multiple brand gun boots last year for a CO hunt and they would not fit a Bergara rifle with Vortex Viper PST scope…let alone a bipod…they are pretty snug. I ended up using a semi-soft case I had and bungeed it to the gun rack on my front Atv rack
You are right to question, but if the drawings didn't show and he didn't have in his bid, he is entitled to a change order. In most residential builds and some commercial builds, you are correct and there is some padding so they usually don't do them (more paperwork and time for them to...
Yikes. Interesting discussion. When you are separated from the moment, I guess I understand the question and logic about the topic. But when it is time, I can't imagine having the last moment be that - might be something that is more traumatic than you think.
I ask a lot of my bird dogs...
Agree - they look great! I have shout couple bucks/bulls in the rain that were much darker in the pics than they were after they dried out, so pretty sure that is what you are seeing. Coffee treatment looks great. I do have some antler stain that I have used on sheds, but it gets they really...
Where you at in WY? My source of feral birds is trapping or catching grain bin birds here in western NE and some handy-down homing pigeons from other training buds. Some pigeon places will also sell you a breeding pair where you can create your own birds in time - especially for homers. I...
45 long colt or .357 mag are easy to pack and meet Wyomings overall cartridge length requirements. I packed a crossbow and wanted to do it that way, but the cat I ended up taking was straight up and didn't leave much of a hole to thread a bolt through so switched to .45.
