    Hey guys I currently shoot the hoyt carbon spyder at 70lbs. I have the black gold 5 pin slider set at 30-70 yds. My pins are pretty crowded. Im thinking maybe a 3 pin slider would be the answer set at 30-40-5-. Any thoughts or experiences on this topic would be great.

    Weather in NW Mt that time of year is pretty mild and dry. I would start looking at the large chunks of public land in the western part of the state. Do your research, find a trail head and hike in.

    I would wait until around the 15th of Sept. Bulls will be bugling more consistently. I hunt in NW Mt and the weather that time of year can be in the 80’s and lows in the 40’s. 0 degree sleeping bag would be plenty warm enough.

    Reigion 1. Heron Mt. Tons of public land. hike any trail or gated road a couple miles and you will locate bugling elk. Lots of timber, need to be able to navigate in, but you will hear elk.

    Retired pro hockey player. Retired but I can still go. I don’t mind paying for a ranch hunt, but am up for anything. Backpack, RV. Last season in Mt I paid 4k for a guided archery elk hunt on a ranch in the Lil Snowies and it was spectaular. That’s as much as Id spend.
