Yeap, ground hunting would be my suggestion as well. I will just find some super thick stuff and get in the middle of it as long as I have a clear shot with my bow to a travel route I’m happy. I have killed all my best whitetail deer from the ground. I’m pretty convinced the mature bucks get...
That 4-16 definitely has interesting specs! Hopefully they turn out to be robust internally. Didn’t look like it was possible to purchase yet on your site, have any actually made it in to the us?
My wife bought her first one (well maybe I payed for it🤣) on Saturday and was approved yesterday! Can’t believe how fast it was. It’s a AB 10 stack with 5 inch reflex so should be really quiet
I’m in for one assuming it actually meets the criteria listed. I didn’t read everything, is this something a specific manufacturer is considering? If so was the manufacturer specified?
It’s 11 3/4 length of pull.
The only reason I would add plywood is to put a screw on pad instead of a glue on. None of mine have shown the slightest hint of coming loose from the stock. I do rough up the plastic just a little bit to increase bonding
It is hollow but doesn’t seem to cause any problems. I have done it to multiple tikka stocks without an issue. It’s essentially a free way to shorten a stock for a kid until they grow into something permanent. Once they are done growing and still show interest, spend away!
Yes just cut with a miter saw then glue on whatever you want for a recoil pad and grind down. I did exactly that for my daughter and use free shoe lift material from the local cobbler to make the recoil pad. You could also use a flip flop. I use weldwood contact cement to attach it
I have a factory Montana rifle company take off stock for a left hand long action 1999 rifle if your interested? It’s the textured green synthetic that they offered.
I switched over to a left hand Echols legend stock so have no need for it anymore
