It is, though I have two other offers; one for less than asking and one for asking. I want to give the one offering full asking price a little more time to respond. If they don’t respond, and you’re offering full asking, that puts you next in line. Giving them until the end of the day…
Sitka bino harness. It’s in great shape and fits 10x42. $55 TYD (lower 48). I prefer Apple Pay or Venmo.
Gently used bino harness. Compact, lightweight, well thought out. Everything works perfectly - no abrasions, tears, stains; elastic parts are stretchy, Velcro is sticky, buckles all work...
Anyone have thoughts comparing these to Salomon Quests? I love the Salomon’s, but my pair wore out. I replaced the with Colorados, which is a substantially different boot. I’m thinking that I also need a more flexible, lighter boot.
The Jetstream has a pretty snug fit in the sleeves. I couldn’t fit an Active Jacket under mine, or if I squeezed it on, would find it tough to move. I typically just wear a core lightweight hoody if I’m covering ground. I have at times worn a smaller puffy vest under it or a thicker base layer...
I think accuracy with a bow may be the easiest skill to acquire. Fitness is maybe only slightly more difficult. Hunting - finding elk and getting close enough to kill them - is most important. I wonder how many of you saying accuracy is more important are saying so because you’ve figured out how...
You could load your pack with whatever, but you’ll want a way to weigh it. (The sandbags make this easy.) You need a pull-up bar everyday; going off memory, a box and lighter weights on a lot of the days. I just used sledgehammers for the shoulder work and a cooler for step ups.
I did 45-70 last year and it kicked my ass. But, I was able to hunt very hard and felt like a million bucks. I’m very impressed with that program. It tells you exactly what to do everyday, so it should check that box for you. You need a pull-up bar, something to step up on, some sandbags, and...
I’ve only been in OR for a few years (coming from CO), but it sounds like the system needs to be updated to give ODFW more tools to manage the populations. In three general east side archery seasons, my observations are that the roads are a shit show, but if you can find a place where you can...
Size M, Subalpine; $125, TYD (in the lower 48). Apple pay or Venmo preferred.
Very good condition. Worn two or three times for (unsuccessful) early morning, pre-work hunts. No holes, fabric piles, stains, etc... This is an awesome piece for the spot and stalk and treestand bowhunters. I’ve...
I’ve run these for the past 8 years (7 in CO high country, 1 in the OR “mountains”) and love them. Lots of reports of leaking but mine never have. While I have no interest in finding another pair of shoes, I’m starting to think that they’re a bit much for eastern OR archery elk. I’m looking at...
This is an awesome thread/discussion. I don’t have the chops to contribute much, other than observations from my experience climbing and ski mountaineering. The weight that you have to carry while hunting is no joke, and in my experience, sets it apart from climbing and bc skiing. So for me, it...
