the kestrel is loaded with your data (Chrono, bullet weight, etc) and will give you a solution based on all your environmental conditions (baro, elevation, wind). Excellent tool for finding density altitude. If you don’t know what density altitude is, you should really consider researching that...

looking for scope options

Nightforce NXS zero stop used. I found mine used for maybe $1300. Not perfect on the outside but glass still good. It's by far my favorite scope. Huskemaws are great too and I bet you could find a 1st gen for under a grand now. If you have all your load data, they'll sell you a blue diamond...

mid to "long range" cartridge

I like (and own) the 7mm-08. I shoot a 140 gr accubond with 42 grains of varget. Super accurate but not as fun to shoot in the wind as my 7mag running faster with a 168gr bullet. I don't have trouble putting rounds on target (even in the wind) out to about 700 yards without any help of a kestrel...

Annealeez

be careful learning the annealeez as I goofed the case holder getting the dang brass TOO hot and not speeding it up fast enough. I was melting the black rubber onto the brass and feeling pretty stupid.

Best changes to help get consistent groups

I have had luck with going back to a manual powder scale and recalibrating every 20 drops or so. That and keeping brass lots together. Also started annealing the brass recently which has helped. Panhandle precision has a great series of videos that I've learned a lot from. Good luck

What do you use for a Bino Harness?

Alaskan Guide is the BEST I've ever used for sure. I carry my 10x ranging geovids and it's tight but they fit.

To Loctite or not to Loctite

One more vote for the purple locktite that comes with the Wheeler kits. Worked great for us on many rifles.

Solid color pant

I've got the Kuiu attack pant that's awesome but recently bought Stone Glacier DeHavilland pants in the light tan color. That system with the underlayer that also has zipper is AMAZING! They've got the Velcro adjustable front zipper that goes up and down with your waist size and they're built in...
