I’ve got mountain tactical on one of my Tikkas. It was on the rifle when I got it so I can’t speak of the “value”. It does look nice and works. But the stock plastic works too. My first Tikka I’ve had for 14 years now and no issues with the plastic.
I’ve had both good and bad with Zeiss.
The good. I slipped and fell on top of my diavari years ago. Bent the eyepiece. Cost me a $100 but was back in about 3 weeks.
The bad I had a scope with bad parallax issues. My local shop sent it back in February. In October scope still not back...
My 9 yr old grandson loves to shoot my “cowboy” rifle. Marlin 30-30.
I’m not saying this is the right choice for your situation, just a often forgotten way to get young ones interested.
I have a Tikka 6.5 creedmore, I wanted a 6.5PRC but the deal on this rifle was to good to pass up. My question is what would it involve to make this rifle a PRC? Could the chamber just be redone? Or would it take a new barrel?
