    Best Base Layer

    I prefer merino wool for base layers but I think for your question the more important thing to focus on is a solid layering system. You want insulation layers like down of you are sitting for hours but need an outer layer for wind or else the insulation can be useless. Best of luck hunting!

    Tikka 6.5. To cut or not to cut?

    I appreciate the reply. I just bought the Tikka T3x Superlite in 7mm-08. Contemplating cutting it down a couple inches and threading it for a muzzle break but your results have me hesitant.

    Do you still like it? I'm trying to decide between the Tikka T3x Lite SS and cut down to 20" or get the SL and cut the 3" off for 21.3". Leaning towards SL in 6.5 CM like you have done but looking for opinions.
