    Mountain Goat Taxidermy

I kept the back half of the pelt from my goat, too. Got it tanned and gave it to my brother-in-law as a thank you for all his help with the hunt.

Thanks Slick. Officially netted 91 4/8". Really happy with how this shoulder mount turned out. I saw your goat on the other thread and love it, too. 2/3 body mount is awesome. Great goat. Loved the age and horse face on it from your harvest thread.

From my experience in goat country, the "side hilling vs. downhill" question will largely be answered by the terrain in each particular situation. Most of the billies I tried to close the distance on had only one reasonable route of approach...or none at all. Best of luck and please post follow...

How did this go for your friend, Slick? Did he (or she?) end up finding any goats? I know the weather was pretty nasty here in WA in late September. Depending on his dates, it could have been tough to see any goats, let alone get to them.

I am one of the 45,000. Here's my my fear: getting selected as one of the top 25...only to get dropped at the cutdown to 12. Here's my nightmare: getting selected as one of the top 12, taking a week off work, driving 22 hours to the Grand Canyon with five of my buddies....only to fail the...
