    I'd say just about 1/3 (maybe a little fewer) of the ones I've taken in rifle season were following a track. That's fun hunting. Hard to tell what's at the end but always fun to follow them and try to find out.

    It's not surprising the the MBA crowd will froth at the mouth when you whisper shortening any archery hunting days. And the quickest way to infuriate a MT hillbilly is to tell them they shouldn't be shooting a roadside forked horn mule deer with it's nose in a does hind end.

    Montana is WAY overdue to 1) split deer and elk seasons separately like EVERY OTHER STATE 2) stop November mule deer hunting, and 3) establish better limits on Non resident hunters for deer/elk.
