The Source widepac 3L and camelback crux 3L short fit the best I’ve found in the bladder sleeve on the frame side of the sling.
The longer bladders don’t fit well there. Any short/wide version should work.
Bedlam. I’ll keep a DL with a Stryker xl on it and sell the backup. So I’ll get to compare them as well.
I could tell by the creasing on the lumbar than they were broke in. All I tried on was the frame, but I felt even pressure through the lumbar. Could change once I get it in and put...
Well, just tried the Ark on at TAC, and bought it. Much lighter in hand than I expected. Also liked the lumbar instantly. To the point made about lumbar break in, it seemed like the lumbar pads they had on the test frames were broken in as well from people taking them off and on at different events.
I can’t speak for the newer models, but I have an 07 Rubi that all I’ve changed in 16 years, besides fluids, tires and the battery, is the starter (20 min job) and 1 wheel bearing. It runs like the day I got it.
Flip side, my father in law has a 99 Kodiak that he hasn’t done much more on...
Shark Week year 10.
Good luck to all of you who drew a tag this season. For the rest of us the task at hand is hiding the refund and spending it on something else before the wife has time to ask questions.
Furthest Ive shot was 141 on a bison in Texas. I can get to about 127 with heat vanes, beyond that its Doug Flutie 1984. If they say 40-100 on a course, most of the shots are 75-120.
Ive shot probably 6 TACs with my VXR 28s and will at the OK tac this weekend. Ive also shot 1 with a Phase 4 29, and 2 with a RX1 Turbo. Ill take the VXRs all day. I dont dial down draw weight, or do anything different with my bows for 3d season vs hunting season. Same arrows. 75#, 444...
Agreed on this. Seems like the topics for podcasts create themselves on the forum. You can pretty much look at the threads that generate the most views and comments and if you can get whatever company it is to talk about it, the threads tell you where to go with it. Get x company on the hook...
I use black athletic tape (I think people that live north of louisiana call it hockey tape) on my whale tails and the soft sided adhesive velcro to line the shelf. The athletic tape lasts a while, and is an easy replacement. Its also easy to find and the thickness is relatively the same no...
Its quieter than the Jetstream, the jetstream to me gets a bit of crinkle the colder it gets. I dont notice the ambient changing at all. Im not sure if its the exact same material as the old kelvin active line, but its close if youve ever had one of those for comparison.
Non scientific...
This is kind of what I thought. I like the DL, and dont want to mess with it other than the lumbar. Hell I might not even like the ark lumbar better. It just seems different enough to where it makes me think the squared off edges and stiffer foam might make the difference, exactly as you are...
Catfish in X99 if you have a week+, I just prefer x99 slightly over vec99/bloodline.
Fast turnaround, Threadz - I think he only uses 452x. Buts it’s done well.
Ive had mine a year or more, and have used it more than I expected. The only thing I wanted to change was that theres no side compression straps to keep taller items (tripod, arrows, trekking poles) in the side pockets. I ended up sewing some straps onto mine and it fixed the issue. If its a...
For educational purposes, I went with the Warden only because we need (we don’t) a comprehensive wet mid layer review, And he is the de facto king of mid layer.
Ultimately I’d just want an honest, unbiased comparison. Is the ark is better, or just different. Is the foam that much more comfortable and/or durable. The lumbar pad comparison.
I have 2 duplex lites. I have almost no complaints with them outside of wishing the lumbar pad was firmer...
