Easiest way to remove trekking pole grips??

Aren't hiking pole grips usually glued on? Air compressors work with bike grips as they don't have any glue. Think you need heat to get that adhesive to loosen

    Repurpose hammock material ideas?

also with slippery fabrics pinning the 2 sheets of fabric together every 8-10" is huge for keeping things lined up and not ending up with problems when the lower sheet of fabric slips

    Repurpose hammock material ideas?

the right needle for the thread and fabric is pretty key as well. Mara 100 as recommended above is great, I use that with Schmetz microtex 70/10 needles on ultralight fabrics light what you are looking to repurpose..

Sleeping bag for a reptilian/cold blooded guy - AZ Jan OTC hunt

1+2 on the Xtherm. My wife is very cold sleeper and we spend a lot of nights out each year. She uses an Xtherm year round (add a closed cell foam pad in winter). She has a 20F WM bag that she uses for anything down to freezing. Anything below freezing and shes on to a 0F Mountain Hardwear...

What zipper size for 2 man tent.

#5 is definitely a safe bet. People go with #3 on ultralight tents sometimes but personally I go #3 only for zips on the tent inner and #5 on the door

    Backcountry - sleeping bag recommendations

If you can get into a retailer and try out the sizing on some bags that will give you a starting point. Key dimensions are how big you are around the shoulders, how much wiggle room you like as it tapers toward your feet, and then obviously the length. The most efficient bag is the one that...
