    I’m planning a trip in early October to fly into Salt Lake City and drive north to Idaho then Montana. Looking to hire a guide in both places. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions on good pull offs or short hikes to fish along the way? Any help is appreciated.

Looked at the BDX but not interested in the scope and bluetooth so not worth spending the money on that technology. Whats the minimum range distance...

    Advice on GPS/ SOS/ Text message unit

    I agree with getting a Garmin unit. Have an in reach explorer and haven't had any issues with it. Its good piece of mind for my and works well.

    Thanks for the quick reply guys! I know Vortex has a killer warranty but don't know anything about Maven. Any input on the warranty effecting the decision?

    Guy's i'm in the market for a new pair of binos, narrowed it down to the Vortex Viper HD's or the Maven C1's in 10x42.I hunt the northeast but plan on going out west next year.
