I know you're likely already on the road, but throw on some cow calling tracks and practice with your diaphragm call while traveling out there. Don't worry about bugles, but get those cow mews and chirps down.
Always be mindful of the wind. If elk hear you, they run out of sight. If they see...
I have tried one clamp style, was not my thing. It was better than the Vortex post, but nowhere near as user friendly ad the outdoorsmans stud. Which clamp style do you use?
Save points for a special hunt in a state that does bonus points, not preference points. You'll never catch up to preference points. Put in for multiple states every year and spread out your draw odds so you draw a different stare every year. If you don't draw, go OTC. If you draw two in a year...
Despise doing the dishes, so I'm the one who cooks, lol. Baking is a different story, as much as I try, it is not my strong point. I'd be down for a recipe sharing thread too, got an entire spreadsheet saved on my Google drive just for that.
Outdoorsmans stud is the way to go. Used the vortex one for a few years, and can confirm what seand Saud about the wobble. The Outdoorsmans is rock solid, no wobble, super quick to setup and to switch out binos if needed.

For coues, I'd definitely go with 15x56's before buying anything else, since you already have 10's. That was my setup for many years chasing coues down south. If money and weight didn't matter, I'd run 8's on my chest, 15's in my pack and either Kowa Highlanders or a 115 BTX.
I have the 884, and run two different tripods depending on my hunt, either a Manfrotto 055 carbon fiber or an Outdoorsmans medium. Both have Jim White pan heads on them.
My pack, an Outdoorsmans, has a pouch for the bottom limb/cam to sit in. I just use tge packs compressions straps to lock it into place. Just need to remember that it sticks down in case you decide to sit with your pack on. Have never had an issue with any type of abrasion or damage from...
I've been using a cheap, no frills one from BPS for a decade now. Bought some HD suspenders for it when chasing elk, but it's perfect without them for getting to and sitting in a treestand.
