Thanks, I figured the stretch would allow more wind through but it’s good to confirm.
Is the G1000 more breathable than the ventile or just the stretch panels?
Are there times where you prefer the more breathable stretch material for the back panel ie when hiking with a pack?
Thank you both.
I’ll try the Wind Shell as I’m most interested in a more durable wind shirt.
Have either of you (or anyone else) tried the Keb jacket and would it be possible to compare it to ventile?
After some use the neck has indeed loosened up and the sweater has become my preferred mid layer. As Hydr said, the sweater is “Super robust, soft, and almost airy feeling”.
The Kebs and Sarma TST (with thigh vents) have also performed very well.
I think I’ve tried almost every one of your...
Do you by any chance have a picture showing how much it rolls/folds? Mine will stay slightly rolled but still is pretty tight.
BTW - thank you for sharing your gear list and all the other tidbits through the years. They’ve been amazingly helpful.
Just because it’s easier to comment here than find the mesh base layer thread, I did order a pair of the Aclima woolnet and after 1.5 year of use I can report that they’re excellent.
The Aclima are by far the best base layer I’ve used, they wick moisture like no other. I used them every time I...
I ordered several pairs of the 100% camel and yak wool socks from Mongulai’s Etsy page. I also ordered the yak blend.
They’re excellent socks, the camel in particular run cooler and are more suitable for a wider temperature range. I’ve put a good number of miles on them and they’ll be my go-to...
I can confirm it breathes better than most mid layer options and is thick/plush.
I haven’t had the opportunity to really put it through its paces.
I’m very sensitive to constricting necklines, this sweater is particularly constricting for me given the construction. I reached out to AR to see...
Interesting, I haven’t used a flow through can but most of my research seems to indicate that they’re as loud or louder than traditional cans on a tuned host.
It’s a shame it’s so difficult to try different suppressor/host configurations before buying.
Have you had the opportunity to compare the WB to something like the Polonium or Wolf Hunter on a tuned AR (with a BRT tube for example)?
Looking at the Pew Science data it seems like a tuned upper greatly enhances the suppression performance of traditionally designed cans.
Tundra ESC is up for sale on the Vivo UK site.
It does look like a very substantial price increase over the Trackers, I’d guess they’ll be listed ~$500 USD (£400 on the UK site).
I’ll probably still get a pair but it sure takes some enthusiasm out of the whole deal...
N140 is very accurate, definitely a good powder especially given the Hodgdon/Alliant price increases. I’ve been meaning to see how it meters out of a Dillon powder measure, I haven’t used it as much as I would if it had a better reputation for metering well.
Awesome, good when everything works out.
Out of curiosity, did you happen to complete a NICS check for a firearm while you were waiting?
I’m curious if passing a NICS will force through a delayed individual eForm. I might give it a shot on my next can.
I’d guess the Omega gets approved today too, but if it doesn’t I’d definitely email the IPB/ATF with the control numbers from the approved ones and ask that the Omega be approved as well.
It seems like sometimes a little nudge can help with batching.
For those experiencing leaking boots, my Forest ESCs were leaking at the leather/sole junction as others have observed, I emailed Vivo to let them know that the boots were great but a rand should be added due to that issue.
It took them 16 days to respond to me, but they did end up offering to...
The Tundra ESC looks very similar to the Steger Mukluk, I’m very interested in trying them and seeing the desert ESC.
They start talking about the Tundra at around 1:20:00.

If you’re short on time and planning on shooting a good amount I would definitely go with the Dillon 550. It makes no sense to save a few hundred bucks on the press if you’re going to spend an extra 100 hours at the bench for the next decade.
That said, time vs money is a very real trade off...
