A friend who goes regularly explained it like this: You pay a guide (usually native american) who has access to private land and/or reservation land. You are paying for the access. He may be a good guide and actually put you on PDs, but most likely he's just gonna tell you where to go.

I've always considered it rude, asking about hunting spots. Like sacrilegious.
So spots where you can park a small camper legally free, is that also rude to ask about?
Or even what places cost less than other places.
If it isn't rude, I'd ask about what kind of apps or forums are useful in...
