After reading through 12 pages, I'd say that you just suck and have a defeatist attitude. You probably just smell bad too.
Kidding aside, you may want to re-evaluate everything you're doing from stand location and position, wind and thermals in those locations. Are you hunting private or public...
My work schedule and family don't allow for me to sit all day. The most I can do is a half day. On our farm, I'll move to a different stand around 10 am if the action dies off in the initial spot. Have had good success doing that. Cover is so dense that you could be off of the X by 100 yards and...
I've been shooting Federal Premium 150 grain Nosler Partions for the last 5 years in my .308 X-bolt
It's probably too expensive of a round for a white tail, but my gun loves it, shoots close to a 0.5 MOA at 100 yards.
With the exception of one doe at 20 yards and one antelope doe at 75 yards...
The last couple of seasons I've use a red moon app. I definitely notice improved movement on Red Moon days and the overhead/underfoot times. This has also been on our private land in Alabama. More consistent movement 30 minutes before and after the specified times, as well as increased number...
Depends on the deer density in your area I guess.
Our property has a tremendous doe problem. We're started to work on that and killed 10 does to 1 buck last year. During the polar vortex back in the Middle of January, 5 of us hunted that coldest day in the afternoon. Four guys on food plots...
Check moon position. I've had a lot of success hunting when the moon is overhead or under foot, regardless of the actual moon phase.
I've been using Adam Hays Red Moon Guide for a couple of years and it seems to be fairly accurate. I've definitely noticed better daylight movement on those days...
Aw come on man why not!!???
Listen, I'll swing by Omaha, Nebraska on my way to you, and I'll pick up my girlfriend. Then she can give you your 40th birthday present.
I'll film, post to OnlyFans, then we'll share the profits.
Then I can go kill an elk that you tied up for me.
1.) Thank you for thinking I've got that kinda game/rizz
2.) I just turned 37, not 40
3.) I'm married with 3 children, not dating
4.) I live in Columbia, SC, not Omaha, Nebraska
5.) I think you just like dropping our 3 user names due to crudeness
They shut down the Sumter National Forest in SC after the hurricane.
I was cutting logs in the road and went deer hunting yesterday afternoon. The alert said "rec areas", so my assumption was that was campgrounds, shooting ranges, designated park/picnic areas, and walking trails.
I'll keep...
Remington Model 700 in .270 with Simmons Pro 50 scope, which turned out to be defective and wouldn't hold zero. Grazed a couple of deer low and high. Passed up a monster 8 point that year (8th grade) between 50-75 yards with plenty of daylight because I had no confidence in the scope. Easily 130...
Only thing I can add is DO NOT hunt wood ducks in the evening on a roost site till the end of the season. They won't come back at all and will avoid like the plague.
Cheaper Option: CZ AT. I have the Redhead in 20 gauge. Olive Drab cerakote. I've had no issues with it and like the way it handles. Paid around $1k for it.
Since I started elevating my cell and non-cell cameras around 8 ft, I've had few, if any, deer jump with the flash, much less avoid them. In fact, I had a nice public land 8 point lay down in my mock scrape this week and apparently took a snooze, as I didn't get a picture until an hour later...
core and legs.
Don't think you necessarily have to dead lift or squat with a bar to get there either, depending on your age and goals.
Single leg on the leg press works fine, 4 sets of 10 per leg. Leg extensions and leg curls. Reverse lunges with kettle bell, squats with dumbell all great...
LOL with the tagging. Looks like I'm in good company with the crude handle.
Looking forward to white-tail hunting in Alabama and SC. Duck hunt in Arkansas mid January 16-18th.
