    300 win mag

    I use H1000 & RL 17 in 1 of my 300 mags. I use RL 17 with 190 gr. Nosler Accubond LR , {the Nosleer manual lists it as most accurate for 190 gr } & my gun likes it with the Hornday ELD-x 178 grain. I never see anyone recommend RL17 but it works for me!

    I have shot dozens of whitetails both buck & does from 50 to 500 yards with my 300 win mag loaded with 180gr. Nosler partitions. If your worried about meat loss shot them thru the lung area!

    I took this old warrior in Montana November 2021. Hunting was slow so I decided to take this unusual old buck, we figured he was passed his prime, probably 7 1/2 yrs old. He was by far the largest bodied buck I have ever shot! Shot with Fierce Fury LR in 300 Win Mag.

    To be honest I have not had it scored, but might score it when I take to taxidermist. Every time I have a appointment with taxidermist, I catch a cold or some virus that I don`t want to spread!
