New Kuiu Strongfleece mid layers

the strongfleece 290 from the waterfowl line is my favorite piece so far, just ordered the pants. The jacket worn on its own, or layered as needed with a vest or under the axis jacket got me through the fall easily, but it was quite a bit milder than usual.

Read this thread yesterday morning, ordered a pair of pants. They were in the mail by 10:00 a.m. in the mailbox by noon today. Unbelievable! So far the pants are exactly like everyone has said. Super comfortable. I will update after a week of hiking and fishing!

Who’s running alpaca socks? Durability?

I use alpaca socks exclusively for hiking and hunting. Homemade by my sister in law. Hot water is not your friend, do not put in a dryer. I simply do not wash them, rinse, air dry and repeat. I can wring out water in late october, feet are still warm. Ultimate wool!

Just recieved my rifle a month ago, took a year and ended up with an extreme 3 after ordering the extreme ascent. The rifle is excellent......I am just happy it showed up before this.

Dial it in for 20 yards, do not overbow yourself. Practice from 12 - 15 ft up in a treestand. Keep it simple.

Rutting moose taste

I have had a couple of bulls that I shot in late september or early october that tasted great but took forever to chew. Late season bulls are usually more tender. They stink during the rut, but if you take care not to spill a bladder full of moose piss all over the meat, it tastes great. Some...
