Agreed. Juice is not worth the squeeze. The bare Tikka action is about 30oz. It's difficult to get much lighter. Spend the money elsewhere.

I've got a Savage LW Hunter in .308 Win I would part with if you can't find one in 6.5 CM.
I hope you find one in 6.5 CM though. 6.5 CM is much more agreeable in these lightweight rifles.

What's the recoil like with the muzzle brake? I've never pulled the trigger on a .300 WSM. I'm guessing it's like a 30'06 but much less with the brake.

Willing to part out this build.
$850 for the ARC CDG. Will add the action wrench for an additional $75.
Asking $1,450 for the barreled action with trigger. Scope, rings, and magazine not included.
*I am willing to sell the whole rifle for $2,100...
The CDG is smoother than a Tikka action. I compared it to a Tikka I got off the Rokslide classifieds. The Tikka is smooth, but this CDG is like glass. The hour glass shaped bolt handle fits great and makes cycling the bolt really quick.
Want to sell my American Rifle Company Coup De Grace (CDG) right hand, long action with a Preferred Barrel Blanks (PBB) 6.5 Creedmoor screwed on. The CDG is smooth with no issues, and the PBB is accurate with the few rounds I've put through it. I'm only selling to change directions to a...
Want to sell my custom Remington 700 clone long action. This is an American Rifle Company Coup De Grace (CDG) with a Preferred Barrel Blanks (PBB) 6.5 Creedmoor barrel and TriggerTech Primary installed. The CDG is smooth with no issues, and the barrel is sub-MOA with the few rounds I've put...
Tikka has a 1 MOA accuracy guarantee. Savage does not. Even if you are unlucky enough to get an inaccurate Tikka, you can send it back to Tikka, and they will fix it until it shoots at least 1 MOA.
I've shot a couple dozen Savage rifles in the last 20 years. The Savages that shoot are absolute...
This is good advice. I will contradict a bit and suggest shooting the factory loads with a chronograph to get the average velocity. Chase that value with different powders and you might get lucky.
Do you have the model number for the Warne rings?
I used the 514M rings on my recent build. The 514M's are horizontal 30mm medium height rings. These rings are definitely heavy, but I'm confident the scope won't move.
If it helps, I put these rings on an ARC Coup de Grace long action (Rem...
Merino is good for wicking moisture away from skin. Wet skin is prone to blisters and hotspots. I imagine most people use merino more for the moisture wicking property than to reduce stink.
