I'll admit I'm a Weatherby fan boy and love the 257 Weatherby. I have an accuguard in 257 Weatherby. Prior to that I kept buying and selling rifles but I'll never get rid of this guy. With the SWFA 3-15 I mounted this is a very versatile combination.
A lot of people consider this a...
I have to admit I largely gave up on military surplus as my experiences had been less than stellar. A few weeks ago I purchased a pair of USGI Outdoor Research Mutant Mitts. I got them without the liners for a steal and just love them. Feel very durable and a great shell for a variety of...
I had an 04 for years and loved it. Only reason I don't have it still is rust killed it but can't blame the truck for it. A manifold cracked (this is common) but otherwise great outdoor truck.
I'm in Raymond so not that far from Hampton. Nice to see so many people form the North East making the trek. Would like to do it DIY and generally hunt alone but the logistics seem overwhelming. I like the "Just go.." advice. I could picture overthinking the first trip.
Hey guys, I'm from NH and wanted to introduce myself. I have been into hunting and fishing my whole life but recently have been more and more into wilderness style hunting. Always wanted to do some hunting out west and at 36 I'm not getting any younger. Bought some bonus points for Wyoming...
Execuse my ignorance but is there any difference between this and the Duplex Lite? I'm 6 feet even with 34 inch waist and would be throwing a woodsman or a reckoning on it. Thanks.
I've settled on ordering a new Kifaru frame and while it's getting built keeping my eyes open for a used bag. Am I correct in assuming the Duplex Lite is the best frame for me as opposed to the ultra light or the tactical? I'm 6 feet about 185. I really do appreciate all the responses.
You don't see a big difference between the Alps Commander and some of the "top tier" backpacks? No durability issues? I'm finding it for around $100 shipped without looking hard.
Yea, that ALPS Commander external looks like a really good deal but just not what I'm looking for right now.
Though I realize they are quite different I'm leaning towards the Seek Outside Fortress 4800 with the Merlin Day Pack or the Kifaru Duplex Frame with the Reckoning pack.
I love the...
Hey guys, I've been researching a new pack and am just overwhelmed with all the information available. I'm from New Hampshire and up until this point I've only done a few 1-2 night hunts and summer camping sort of stuff. I've been using the same EMS 4700 internal frame pack for almost 20 years...
I’ve also been considering a pistol for deer hunting. Not sure what your budget is but the CVA Scout V2 seems like a steal if you are looking for a single shot. The Ruger Redhawk and Ruger Blackhawk are also good options. Not sure if you have seen the BFRs made by Magnum Research but they are...
