    My 2014 Colorado Elk Hunt

A question I have for you Bowhunter 15, why wouldn't you light a fire to dry out your gear? I'm just wondering if there are restrictions for fires in the area or if it was by choice? Some beautiful country and a great adventure none the less, and sounds like some good lessons learned! Thanks...

    Canada Eh?

Yup I've taken a few nice ones just to the north along the peace river valley, however the last few winters and a cull by F&W have brought the numbers down drastically. Hopefully with some better management the numbers will climb back.

Some unofficial numbers (scored it myself, have done quite a few animals), 317 6/8 gross....308 net. Biggest scorable circumference is 8 6/8". I'm more about the hunt and the adventure than the score, but I do enjoy scoring the animal for curiosity sake. He will be going on the wall.......
