We hunted with Troy and Linda this year. We had a great time, fishing was amazing and moose hunting was excellent. My brother and I both got a nice bull (see pics). I would book with them again in a second. A couple things that I would say, Linda and Troy are very responsive and very helpful...

Tipi stove? Kifaru or Seek Outside?

I have an 8 man Kifaru Tipi and will be purchasing a stove for it this year. My question is which stove is better built and/or which would you recommend? Thanks!! Jarrod

Bullet choice for moose/brown bear in 300 mag

For our 2021 hunt, my brother and I are setting up our moose hunting rig as follows: 300 RUM with either 190 gr Barnes LRX or 200 gr Nosler Accubond (whichever shoots better). We know the RUM may be bigger than needed for Moose, but it allows us a little extra horsepower for self protection...

I am a big believer the only way to get away from hunters is apply in areas with low tag numbers and big country. On several occasions where I was 'off the grid' and ran into hunters, I introduced myself and it ended up we had different tags. These situations can turn into a productive...

Nosler accubonds?

I shot my goat with 270 WSM (I would have preferred a 300) with 140 gr. Nosler Accubonds. 1 shot kill at 280 yards.

What degree sleeping bag in NE Alaska in Sept?

My brother and I are headed north east of Fairbanks in mid September. The plan is to float the river until we find a big moose. One of the debates we are having is what degree rated sleeping bags to bring...Do we bring 20 degree synthetic bags or 0 degree synthetic? Any advice and/or input...
