I carry an extra base layer but I sweat alot and like to change every couple days to let the one air out and not be able to smell myself (at least the first day). I use first lite base for reference.
I just went from a synthetic bag to a down quilt because I wanted more flexibility in my sleep system. I also do hammock style with an under quilt which I sleep great in. Never could get comfortable on the ground. I don’t set up the tarp if the weather is clear just a hassle if you are moving...
I have kept my gsp on Diamond since she was a pup and she likes all the different flavors of the naturals. I mix it up since I don’t like to eat the same food every day and figured she doesn’t either. So I don’t have any input on other brands but I am sure there is better ones out there.
I agree with the above statements. Pheasants will be hit with the harsh winter up there. I grew up and still occasionally hunt south of Aberdeen. Ducks are more weather dependent but locals can be had. When pheasant hunting, I kicked up groups of 4-5 dozen mixed bags off creeks and sloughs...
I agree with gunsarefun I had no clue either. Acronyms are hard for a non social media individual. But I do agree that someone might be Epsteined if they keep speaking up. Watch out for the WKR gang hanging in the shadows. They are a nefarious fickle organization.
I use the barter system in the backwoods so no need for a wallet. I bring several chickens, two goats, two sheep, and a hand full of oats. People are always grateful when their cup runneth over from my undervaluing my own merchandise.
I would say to save some money for a flat of shells or two. Look hard at the Franchi shotguns. They are inertia driven so you can’t have a soft shoulder but they seem like a great value. I don’t own one but if the browning a5 I bought doesn’t continue to just go click bang dead or I just decide...
Like others have stated just cosmetic most likely. The top dries faster than the middle of the slab 90%+ of the time there is not enough cure on the slab if cure is even used. Best way to prevent future slabs from doing this is to have misters over the slab to increase humidity and make sure the...
I try to chase a few ducks and geese around here. Mostly greenheads around here and Canadas but it seems like feast or famine according to the weather and it has not been kind the last few years for waterfowl in central Nebraska. I did have a great New Year’s Eve hunt last year with golden eyes...
I have went through several different headlamps and landed on fenix and love it. I too use it more for waterfowl than big game hunting. They are extremely bright and hold a charge forever. Never used a zebra light so cannot comment on them but I give a big thumbs up to fenix. Good luck with the...
Sitka territory pants are loose fitting or for slightly slimmer fitting of the black ovis granite pants just size up in them. Good luck it is a constant quest for me as well. I wear the granite pants to work and they are very comfortable.
My suggestion would be but a good scope to put on the 7mm and spend the rest on ammo to get as much bench time as you can to feel proficient at 400 yards. Then again a smaller caliber rifle would fit nicely with those bigger two 😀
I throw some love towards the Springfield Ronin for a lower priced 10mm 1911. Only thing I would change is it being bobbed but at $850 I think it has great value. And Wilson or Wesson is better but they should be. Good luck I am already looking for my second 1911 because they are addicting.
