    Sleeping pads

    Exped ul 7 for me. Have also used BA insulated air core that has worked great except for it being a liittle slow to deflate. A couple dots of silicon has helped to keep the pad from sliding if that has become a problem for anyone.

    Looks like Gunnison might be healing up

    I had a very similar experience last year. I spent 4 nights camping and looking in country that once held tons of deer and some great bucks. Overall numbers were way down, and the bucks I did see need a few more years.

    Lightweight Saw

    Appreciate the feedback guys. Looks like some good options. Just curious if anyone has tried a cable type saw for cutting off the skull plate?

    Lightweight Saw

    I've been packing around a Gerber saw for the last few years to cut the skull cap after caping an animal or for splitting the pelvic bone. Definitely not the smallest or lightest piece of gear I have. Do you have any suggestions for a better option? Thanks

    how much powder

    I've tried all the powders and have settled on Blackhorn 209. As IAHNTR stated, It can be a little hard to ignite but if you use CCI magnum primers you should be good to go. Also have the added bonus of zero crud ring.
