Just sharing my own experience with homeschooling. Education is a personal choice. Just like cartridge choice; Just use/do what works best for you. Homeschooling is not for everyone, but everyone knows the 7 SAUM is the best cartridge there is :) I actually love using my 6mm Remington too lol...
I have tons of family in Paraguay and Argentina. Both my brother and sister were born in Argentina. I go down there once a year to visit my mom. Argentina seems to be headed down the right path politically, but there is a lot of work to be done as the result of rampant corruption (This is true...
My experience with match bullets (5 animals various distances) has been that the entry wounds are tough to find but the exit wounds have been pretty impressive, especially at close range.
My son shot his first buck with my suppressed 308 loaded with 175 TMKs. Shot was at about 80 yards broadside. Bullet destroyed the heart. A lot more destruction than the 7mm 08 partition bullet my wife shot her deer with, same shot same distance. Both deer were dead within 5 yards. I wouldn’t...
Thinking back to my experience with the same bullet, this makes perfect sense now. My first shot most likely hit some sage brush the buck was standing in.
Had the same thing happen on a Mule deer. Shoulder shot same round, bullet and same result . 2nd shot through the diaphragm. Third shot in the neck put him down for good. I have shot other deer with 7mm eldx with no issues.
My stock arrived a few weeks ago. Had a chance to use it on my Tikka 6mm Remington. My son enjoyed shooting it. Definitely worth the wait/$. I look forward to using it this fall hunting season.
I love my XLR. I haven’t noticed the cold much when carrying it since I use a Kifaru weapons carrier. Shooting it in cold weather hasn’t bothered me either due to the rubber grip. I just wish it was a tad lighter. The MDT HNT 26 is nice though. I don’t think you could wrong with either.
My experience is the same as yours. For me a G19 has been the go-to. I also have found that I am able to find the dot quicker with Eotech pistol red dot than with RMRs. Not sure why but that has been my experience.
I have 2 Tikka pre-fit CF barrels for sale:

Shoot my 7 prc/saums more these days.
I believe he addresses the limitations of MKC's manufacturing capacity in his last podcast. I own one MKC knife that my wife used to skin and process a couple deer this last year. She had no complaints and was surprised how long the blade stayed sharp. I always try and support US small business.
I used to hunt with a rifle that had a hinge plate. The location I hunted required me to unload while walking through a certain area. Trying to unload and reload that rifle in subzero temps while wearing/not wearing gloves and inevitably dropping rounds in the snow made me switch to a magazine...
