106 TAP for hunting?

Out 600-650, I realize velocity probably matters more, but to start, what G1 or G7 BC's are you guys using or have trued up? Based on being lauched at around 27-2750...

Do these shims work similar to those they have for the fixed scopes - as in its a washer that will max out close to zero so you may go past zero a couple clicks and thats your que to then click back to your zero?

In this case mainly aesthetics - normally I will take function over form - but not here. Also, my other rifles have knurled bolt knobs and I have gotten used to that over the years.

Sidetracking here, but has anyone on here had Karl at Kampfelds cut down, thread, and install one of his campfire or other aftermarket bolt knobs? I want nothing to do with a clamp on unit. Seems a lot of people comment that the regular bolt handle can be an issue due to its smaller size....

Its probably already on here, but typically, what is the COAL that is afforded for the 6 arc in the JO bdl bottom metal? I thought it was a touch more than the factory mag option?

I think I snagged the first JO yesterday - got the email and immediately logged on and it showed 25 in stock and placed my order. I checked about an hour later and it showed 15 left. They do go fast.

Has anyone used a Timney Trigger in a Stockys VG stock with JO Bottom Metal? As in does it fit without modification? I reached out to JO and his response was he hadn't personally but had other customers state it wasn't a problem. Just seeing if anyone on here has? If it clears and works fine, I...

Not that it matters to me or is a big deal, but I got mine yesterday and weighed it...The ad online says like 19.8 oz, mine weighed 20.6 oz on my scale.

Building a light weight budget rifle

If a mini action cartridge such as the 6 arc is what your after, the Howa barreled actions are very light. My 20” CF barreled action is 3 pounds 8 oz…with stockys VG stock, 20 oz scope and suppressor it will be like 7 pounds 5-8 oz…..

Warne Mnt. Tech Pic Rings

About to order some 30mm Low Warne Mnt Tech rings to go on my new 6 arc (Burris xtreme 2 peice pic bases) Looks like I can get them on amazon for about $100. For that price, any other quality options I should be looking at?

Got my barreled action today….carbon 20” unit is 3 pounds 8oz, 4 pounds 1 oz with my banish suppressor. The ad says it’s 1/2x28 threads but they are actually 5/8x24 - no biggy. Can’t wait to get my stockys stock and the SWFA 3-9x42….

If I have to, ill send it up to Karl and have him work over/smooth it up. I know its not the same (Mini vs Full Size) but some of the Weatherby Vanguards I had 10-15+ years ago ran very well and never caused me any issue

Lost hunters unit 41 SW Idaho. Anyone here work for OnX

You can get spotty service on Blackstone area and north to the tank area if you get to the high points - buts it is spotty. I Never head out that way without an Inreach for those just in case moments.
