Simple. Wasn’t tryin to be helpful. The OP is going to do his review and I didn’t want to hijack his thread. So you’ll have to wait for his review, or don’t be so cheap and buy the damn pack and find out for yourself. Besides, I trust the OP’s review. He been doing this for a while 😉
I have the Ark, Duplex Ultralight & the Tactical. Without getting into the weeds, I will probably hang on to the UL and get rid of the Tactical. The Ark is hands down my go to now.
I've never hunted Alaska, but one day when I do, I will take the advice of my buddy who has multiple times. I'll use my new Ark Frame and go with a waterproof bag. Whether that be a Muskeg or off brand dry bag. He left his Reckoning at home. Way too wet up there for the Reckoning or similar...
Yup. For those curious on what liberals can do to a city, come and look for yourself. It ain't Purdy. I remember when I enjoyed going to Abq. Now I'm on constant hightened alert when I go to Abq.
Yes I can vouch for that. I’ve developed what I call my hybrid method. I will pack in with 4 or 5 days of food, and have a tent at the truck. Hunt back and forth, spend the night, and get cleaned up and have some real food at the truck every so often. Packing camp in on a 4 wheeler and camping...

Mounted the Hoodlum on the Ark tonight. The simplicity is a big plus. Not much, if any different than any other Duplex when attaching the bag, other than the connectors. Got large belt pouches all over this pack. Plenty of space.
To get the perfect fit, and the correct line on the 3 bar slider...
Welp? Retrieved my mail today and found an Ark Frame. First impression before the “unboxing” was wow! This thing is light! I wondered if anything was in the box!
Upon opening, fit and finish is great. I tried it on as is because I was worried about belt size. Only took a few seconds to have a...
My nightmare of a pack out happened in 2012 when I killed my first bull. I had a Badlands 2200 which I’d packed 3 cows out in previously hunting from the truck. 2012 was different though. I hiked into the wilderness 4 miles and one of the shoulder straps gave way. I tied it all back together...
