    30AS Project

Looks way better than any SS lever I've ever seen. 30/30s are supposed to be blued and walnut.

At odds with elk rifle calibers

Ross, What's your preferred bullet? If I remember correctly most of you shots are with 200 yards?

Sold Night Force NXS 2.5-10x42 MOAR reticle

I've had a few questions that I'll put down here. The glass is 100%. I don't have the box. The scope does have the zero stop, but not illumination.

    6.5 PRC w/RL 23 and 147ELDm

Looking for load data/results using this combo. I tried H4831, but the results were awfully slow. The only other relevant powder I have is RL 23.

    Wolves impacting Idaho elk

The sled part is holding me back. It appears hard to get after them this time of year without a tracked vehicle of some kind. The Idaho woods are less than an hour away from me.

Model Seven in 6.5 Creedmoor NOT an SS with 21" Smooth Barrel a Unicorn?

I'd say your blessed that it's not a Remington barrel. Probably shoots better than their factory barrel. It does not appear to have the typical Model 7 barrel profile.

    The 22 creedmoor thread

Any concerns shooting the 80 ELDm vs 80 ELDx on big game? I'm planning on using my 22-250AI that shoots the 80 ELDm @3200 fps this spring for black bear. From past experience shots will be 250-600.

Is this going to be okay?

IMHO, the Barnes is a bad choice simply because in my experience they rarely drop animals on the spot. Bears have a tendency to run into the thick stuff when they're hit, and it usually takes 75-100 yards before they start leaving a blood trail. We've shot several bears with soft quick expanding...

    270 Success on big game.

Although I've shot 2-3x as many animals with my .270 vs 6.5 Creedmoor, I haven't seen much difference between the two. If I'm being honest, the 6.5 kills have been a little more dramatic, but I believe that is due to the bullets I've been using.

Sold SWFA 3-15x42 FFP MOA QUAD

I bought this scope new a couple years ago, still in great shape. I did a little sanding on the windage turret because my 300 WSM brass was hitting it. I’ve had no issues with other brass hitting the turret. $500

16 inch barrel light weight rifle........6.5 creedmore or 308?

Anytime I hear lightweight and 308 in the same question I cringe a little. I own both in the Tikka. The 308 recoils significantly more than the CM. If you're at all concerned about spotting your shots, it will be much easier with the CM.

    2500 class truck

Good luck wading through all the B.S. in this thread! Especially from the gas owners stating the fuel mileage they are getting. Several are stating towing mileage better than I get with my 2013 DMax. You didn't state how far your daily commute was, but that should be a factor if you're...
