    What caliber would you start a hunter with?

    This may have been already stated but I would absolutely prioritize shooting suppressed. It will benefit the kids in the long run and help with recoil. At 35 years old I have constant ringing in my ears and hope to prevent my son’s from the same fate.

    My wife drew a premium elk tag! Not much for me or my son. Between the 3 of us we have 4 elk tags in Oregon and 6 deer tags. Plus I have a Wyoming general elk tag. Going to be a busy fall!

    Do you know that he is responsible for actually preventing access? I’d imagine the ranch owners already had access restricted. Was there access prior to him leasing the hunting rights to the ranches?

    I feel like this post is a gross oversimplification of a larger story for which a lot of details are missing. For example, was the ground open to the public prior to his leasing of it? I would imagine he doesn’t retain any rights to control access through the private ranches in his lease.
