I'd agree with the few guys above in that with the 10 speed tranny you're going to notice gearing less than when they were six speeds. I have the 3.55 and don't tow super heavy, but when I do I just lock it out of 9 or 10 and do just fine. If I were ordering a 5.0 I'd probably opt for the...
If you wanted one system that take you from warm to cold, then to me, bibs are where it's at. They take the place of at least a partial layer up top.
And to be fair he asked about a system that would take him through all seasons. A used Sitka Stratus system can be had for under $300.....not...
Sitka Stratus to me is the best if you're going to have one set to get through all seasons. Windblocker is where it's at with that set. Light base layer if it's warm. Midweight base layers if it's cool. Heavyweight base layers if it's cold. Add in a cheap down puffy if it's really cold...
Blanton's for me. Buffalo Trace gets a light of hype, but honestly for $30/bottle I still think it's a good deal. It's not worth more than that, though.
2022 2.7 w/approximately 36,500 miles on it now. Not a daily driver. Been through two turbos already and now have a few puddles of gear oil on my garage floor due to a shitty pinion seal and flange that need to be replaced. Built FORD tough!
Not a doctor at all but I can pretend to be one if that helps. Sounds like you tore a few shoulder tendons and a partial tear of your labrum. Bicep tendon may be partially torn, too. Find a good shoulder surgeon, get it fixed, follow your rehab protcol to a T and if it's your right arm learn...
The most epic brotherhood of brothers walking around the glorious big game woods like a band of brothers searching for other brothers to share the brotherhood of big game bonding and of course.....more brotherhood. Don't forget your zippered game bags, brothers!
I have the Yukons. Had to size up after initial order. I've only worn mine over my Beartooth boots. Personally, I don't see any way they would fit over my pac boots. YMMV.
Find a local 3D league and shoot that. It was the best thing I ever did for my shooting. I don't participate as much now, but those few years I was in an off-season league it really increased my proficiency.
Good reminder that anything can happen out there and be prepared for the worst. Sorry about your situation but if nothing else it sounds like you're more than capable of a full recovery. Hang in there!
Been on the lookout for a new vehicle for a few months now after some bad experiences with my current truck and I'll echo the others that say the best buy right now is a used vehicle. Look at the Carfax and make sure service was appropriate. Take the money saved and set some aside for...
I've searched the WYO F&G site and did a ton of searches online and still don't have a clear answer. Before I call WYO F&G I figured I would ask here in case someone else is in the same boat.
Drew a WY elk tag this year so we're back to zero points. Was thinking about applying for a...
Personally, I wouldn't leave elk to find elk, especially if you're confident that they're there. Could be a host of reasons they weren't talking. I know that full moon last week played a part in our hunt in Wyoming, as did the heat and the wind. More movement at 10 to noon than early and late...
You're potentially going to be crossing a few states that have zero tolerance on skulls from CWD states (Wyoming) without proper cleaning of the skull. I would make sure you know the laws before you start crossing state lines. Would hate to see anything confiscated.
If there's one dude I would love to spend just a day or two in the mountains with just to learn it would be Paul. I've learned a TON from listening to his podcasts, interviews, etc. As genuine as they come these days.
I think it would depend on the time of the year for me. September and it's warm that skin is coming off for sure to help with cooling. Later in the year I could see leaving it on I suppose.
