Looking for gaiters, oppinions?

My Kuiu gaiters just came in today. Still at work so I can't try them on. Maybe I am over thinking it but how do you guys put them on? Do you hook the shoe lace hook then do up the velcro or do you just do up the velcro and let the shoe lace hook snag the first lace it finds whike walking...

How well do those ones work? The only ones I saw on their website went over your boot but under your pants. Still afraid my pants will get wet, unless they can also be worn over the pant? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
