We closed up shop about a year ago in WY and relocated to CT. Big step forward for us in a lot of aspects of life, but about as far in reverse as you can go from a hunting perspective. Going from chasing antelope around Shirley Basin to trying to kill a whitetail (from a tree no less) on a 350...
Making a cross country move which is going to change up my priorities and hobbies a little. Going to switch back to factories. This is basically the standard RCBS kit with a few extras like the FA trickler, some trays, funnels etc. Press is mounted to a bench riser I made from oak. Also, a...
These are soft but have some non rfid options. I bought the passport wallet a few years ago but it’s become my main wallet in time. The fabrics available are tough as hell, mine is xpac. Even with a handful of cards and work ids it’s really slim because it’s a little taller. I don’t understand...

Mine lives in my stuff sack which houses my non trauma first aid kit. I basically tote it around year round. But I can’t take the risk because once I forgot one on a trip and had to borrow my buddy’s spare. Still hearing about it years later.

You could always rent one for the trip and decide if it’s something you want/need in the future. I did that and ended up deciding a compact spotter was plenty for me and half the time I don’t even feel like I need it.

The chassis has plenty of height rang. My AMG rides in Vortex 1.26 highs on the MPR and is very comfortable to shoot. No reason to place it as low as possible in my opinion.

Yeah this is a stretch. I wouldn’t go calling elk by myself without a tag in hunting season, but certainly aren’t going to get tied up with wardens just calling for someone. They’d have a field day.
I would not be caught dead carrying a “backup” weapon for someone else however. That’s pushing...
I like the STS E-vent compression sacks for down bags. They compress very well and they're pretty dang tough. My Alpinlite uses a 13l. I think you'd need the next size up. I only "freebag" if I'm just doing a quick overnight and normally only with my synthetic bag. I baby my WM.

I'm not very familiar with these trimmers so.i have two questions, are they length adjustable? I know they index off the shoulder, but is the neck length fixed or variable from there? Also correct me if I'm wrong but they should work for the case family and smaller I.e. the 6.5 creed would work...
Ok so here's the real question, how much money do we need to pony up to crowdfund an order to LOW get get some SOAL Rokslide custom 3-9's made? That would be a fun project.

This is the thread that reminds me that no matter how wild the 90/10 thread gets... everyone sure as hell isn't moving to Wyoming. That being said, I'm in logistics and this has been a horrendous year for blow overs on I25, more in NoCO than anyone I know can recall.
And howuch leverage does SWFA really have to apply to LOW based on a percentage of it's total output? Those other brands might be getting cranked out at SWF's detriment.

I've had three watches with GPS but none of them had battery life for a extended use. I use the GPS on my Fenix when I'm just out messing around with the wife and kiddo but otherwise I'm using phone or standalone GPS. My apple watch and both Garmin's used a native app, not onx Gaia etc.

I think the costs involved in FFP from a mechanical standpoint are why you usually only see them on 30mms. If people are spending that money they want the 30.
Some Garmin's can do 3d distance, but not all. You'll want to fiddle with your device settings to find out. I don't usually run tracking, I'll just drop some lines on the rough contours I followed if I want a mileage estimate.
I use my onX to plan a route then everyone and a while compare my...
That is a brilliant idea. I'm going to sort one of those out ASAP.
I've been using a 12" gong on a t post hangar the last couple weeks with some good success. Carrying the t post driver out with my pack has been cake compared to my old stands and holding up great.
