    Hunt timing when focusing on elk calving?

    I have an area I want to hunt/explore that holds snow until early June. Elevation is 6000'. I'd like to plan a hunt after snow melt that coincides with bears chasing elk calves. Season runs until the end of June. Should I plan early June or towards the end of season?

    Anyone pulling an enclosed trailer with a midsize V6?

    I currently pull my 7x14 with a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. I'm considering moving to a Tacoma size pick up. I'm concerned about power issues going up steep grades. The trailer won't be fully loaded, mostly hunting gear for a week, including wall tent. I also have a 2500 Duramax for really heavy loads.

    Beard oil?

    After a couple nights in the backcountry, I find my beard scratchy and quite annoying when I’m trying to sleep. I don’t have this issue when I’m at home showering everyday. Will applying beard oil keep my beard from annoying me?
