Agreed. My 3500 is my go to size. I can get a week out of it. I have a 4800 that I almost never use. I also have a 6400. I only use that when I am winter camping with my daughters and need to carry a 6 person tipi and lots of extra gear. It all depends on your gear though. There are ton of guys...
Anybody else tried explaining this to their wife? I did. It didn't go well.
Her: What are you laughing at?
Me: The hunting forum.
Her: The hunting forum can be funny?
Me: This thread is.
Her: What's the thread about?
Me: A guy shot a deer and thinks someone stole it.
Her: That doesn't sound...
I’ve had tents from Tarptent and Zpacks. I prefer the design of the Zpacks tents. But, I’ve never had quality issues with TT. If you want to stay away from TT because their stuff isn’t fully made in the US, then that is reasonable. But, I wouldn’t stay away from them from concerns of quality. A...
If anyone is skimming these pages and not reading everything, please watch the video Dos Perros posted in post #876. It is fantastic. I love the idea of someone who isn't familiar with Rokslide coming across this video on Youtube and wondering WTF.
Dang it. You’re right. I even saw your post last night when you posted it. It must have been so brilliant that it stuck in my brain. My apologies for the copyright infringement.
I had the K2 3500 and liked it a lot. I first upgraded the bag to the K3 4800. Later I added the K3 frame, the 6400 bag and the 3200 bag. What size bag depend on your gear. I can fit a weeks worth of gear in the 3200. I use the 6400 when I do winter trips with my daughters. I almost never...
I think that's part of the point though. The prices are going up because there is more technology involved and they are more expensive to produce. The prices aren't going every year because of some other economic force that says prices on cars has to go up.
I'm not disagreeing with you...
IMO, the prices will come back down. We are in a perfect storm of high prices at the moment. There was a lot of pent up demand for vehicles this past summer and fall leftover from the height of the pandemic and the shut downs. Now there is a shortage of new vehicles. Many of the dealerships...
A ricochet hitting someone 500 yards away is a completely different scenario. That would be an unforeseeable accident. What happened with this hunter was not unforeseeable. It is reckless, careless, negligent, and dangerous to send bullets into an undefined target. Pretty easy to see how...
I respectfully disagree. I don't want people out in society, who have so little regard for human life that they feel comfortable shooting their gun whenever they want. If you don't have jails for people who kill other people, then you might as well get rid of jails all together. Similar to...
