Hell no. It’s absolutely amazing to me the extra steps so many folks do while reloading. It’s not free, it’s your time.
Does your seater seat bullets crooked? Can you see a wobble when rolling it across the counter?
If folks shot enough 20+ rounds groups at longer range to test things, they...
That looks good to me, I’m hoping for similar as I’ve got 2k of them. 6cm 1-8. Was that sorted by length or just pulling from boxes and losing with no sorting.
Zero scopes over $1000. $3500 binos though.
I’ve got SWFA’s on everything. They don’t get swapped much, some rifles have multiple scopes - example is an AR 15 I’ll pull the LPVO off to mount a 10x for a varmint hunt.
I’ve use the old hand crank Forster, and the lee trimmer was okay and is not expensive. They all work fine but are tedious.
Now im using the WFT type trimmers on a drill and they are excellent. I actually use the “WCT” (world’s cheapest trimmer) on everything except 223. Hand chamfer/deburr...
And your question about spotting hits - my 12yo watched her bullet impact on her first buck at 300yd and watched the buck drop through the scope. 6arc is pretty badass.
Yes, it’s part of the upper. I checked thier website and they are using mid length gas on 18” barrels.
From my limited experience building a total of (1) 6arc gas guns:
1. don’t trust the manuf knows WTF about gas systems, find out for yourself. My barrel is a Wilson combat and I trusted...
There is no magic, 2” of barrel is only 40-50fps. That doesn’t extend your range much.
What I would pay close attention to is gas system length vs barrel length, it matters. Too short of gas system with too long of a barrel and you are going to have premature bolt unlocking/extraction. Too long...
All my 6arc brass says 6.5 Grendel on the head. One pass thru a FL die to neck down and set the shoulder back and trim prior to firing. Shoots outstanding.
I love my uniflow, but not with stick powders. It’s super accurate with ball powders and the micrometer dial is a worthy upgrade, super easy to change between loads - never have to dial it in with a scale. just record the micrometer setting so you can return to it.
For stick powders, I don’t...
6arc is great, but with temp stable stick powders like varget it’s considerably slower (velocities discussed typically use ball powders), but would meet your criteria, but barely.
6 dasher/BRA/GT would top my list if I was sure I could get one to feed perfectly in a hunting rifle. I was not...
I’ve got two m&p 2.0’s they never get carried. The P365xl is better for IWB or AIWB, the longer slide and shorter grip make it better for me. I don’t like how the shorter barrels carry AIWB longer slide is way more comfortable. the grip is just long enough with no extra, grip is the hardest part...
I think it will always be around since 308 brass can be used to keep it alive for reloaders no matter where the market goes.
I think it will fade out eventually in factory availability. The 6.5 creedmoor will continue to dominate. From a practical standpoint it doesn’t really make sense to...
