Have someone film you ejecting, I have had a couple rifles do this and each time the spent brass was hitting the scope turrets and falling back into the action. When filmed and watched in slow motion I could see what was going on.
The Dallas Safari Club Convention 17-20 Jan 2019 is a very cool event. My wife is from Dallas, so we spend quite a bit of time there. North Oak Cliff is trending now,, the Bishop Art District is a cool place to check out.
Get some potassium permanganate, use gloves, goes on purple but looks natural once dried. The porus antler will suck in wood stain and can end up too dark. Google the above and I'm sure you can see several on you tube.
Cut resistant gloves, meat hooks, and sharp blades,, all make it so much safer.
Meat thermometer and extra game bags help manage meat too.

They do love the water....
We always have a small come-along and synthetic rope.
Come-along is handy in many ways.
Another swimmer, come-along used again. Butchering in ice cold water sucks.......So much nicer to winch them dry.

I like using a white gallon antifreeze container, with the bottom cut out. Sounds much better than when I used the quart container on a stick and it can be used as an antler and to aid hearing.
Works like a charm.
I have taken sheep and a Grizzly with my Adirondack in 6.5cm. The long kill was 465, but I ring steel out to 600 often.
Here is my Adirondack next to my MA,,love packing shorty.
