That is the Accu-Tac Hydro Bipod. The shooter can control the cant and the center height to a small amount without coming off the rifle. So that hose goes to the control allowing the adjustments to be made without coming off the rifle. Image below showing the hydraulic hose connecting to the...
You can use our Element chassis with the TR-2 buttstock and it will go all the way down to a 12" LOP range even with the folding adapter and short buffer tube! Plus it will fit em once they grow too because you can change the length of pull from 12-15 inches with our contoured buffer tube or...
I true BC at 1000 and then verify at 5-600 and this has never let me down. The muzzle velocity your chronograph gives you is accurate (as long as you use a good one) so the only other factor to change is BC. Your BC will change depending on what twist your barrel is and what speed you are...
If you are going to put the money into it then I would sell that rifle and get a custom action. It will be smoother and have more features for around the same amount of money.
We have two kits that we have put together for field kits. The Long range all in one kit stays in my truck at all times. It has pretty much everything except a barrel vise for fixing a rifle. The all in one kit is a lot smaller and works perfect for keeping in the bottom of your pack...
I wouldnt say they come loose more often on our chassis than other stocks. Over the last 2 years I have only talked to 2 customers that have had issues with action screws coming loose. They were both pretty light 300 PRCs. We had them both put a little bit of white lithium grease on the action...
This has been a debate since the HNT chassis came out. We have a ton of customers that like the XLR folder more because its not a 2 way locker. Their argument is less buttons to worry about and easier to handle in stressful situations. If your folder flops open then you can tighten the cross...
@bojangles808 @NSI @wind gypsy Well, then I stand corrected!! For a few years, I can say confidently they did not, and if you went to the MDT's site on any polymer magazine page, they would have a disclaimer that they would not work with Tikka's actions. I just checked and sure enough no...
I am going to try and cover a lot regarding the magazines here. I am sorry about the novel, but hopefully, it helps clarify some stuff. The majority of your aftermarket chassis and stocks will use AICS pattern magazines. Could look at this as a industry standard.
Now for Tikka's for many years...
The Tikka long action chassis accepts the 3.560" aics magazine. This is for cartridges like the 300 WM, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm PRC, etc.
The Tikka short action chassis accepts short action AICS magazines which are for cartridges like 6.5 creedmoor, 308, etc.
The action cut for both chassis is...
Different bullet weights, powder charges, etc will all effect your harmonics and where the bullets are impacting. For example when you put a suppressor on it doesnt always effect just vertical, it can change your zero horizontally too.
