Thank again everyone for the input, hope this didn't sound like a complaining post I just wanted to know what you guys though of the situation. Going to try and get my micro plot going again next year and will see if I can get the time to do some thinning in the future!
Picture a square parcel with a house smack in the middle. Then a line coming from one side of the house perpendicular to the square sides. Thats what he did with the wall
Appreciate the input, yes the forest is mature and in the future I will be thinning it. For the record I’ve only ever had to retrieve a deer on his property once in six years, all shots are limited to fifteen yards and under so this doesn’t happen but you can’t control what a deer does after...
Thanks for all the input guys, I didn’t really think it was harassment it’s his property and he’s able to do whatever he wants I just wasn’t sure how to title it. As far as the land open on three sides it’s just a good funnel that was used by the deer often, it a suburban wood lot with houses on...
I hope so, don't think he's going anywhere he's got a few youngish kids unfortunately. Told me they were interested in archery told him I'd help them out and have a whole shop in my house....said I'm good thanks
Normal for people to construct crazy stick walls? The guy doesn't even hunt. I don't know what he does for a line of work but he fills his sketchy van full of sticks and drive into the woods to add on
Hi Roksliders,
I've lived in my house in some suburban woodlots of anywhere from 4 acres to 10 acres for the past 6 years. During this time I've hunted and successfully taken deer on the combined 7/8ish acres I can hunt. I had been lucky that all the deer I took died on property that I had...
I was thinking the same thing. I'd say getting into archery you want something very adjustable. I'm going to assume that bow has a draw weight of +/- 10 pounds
I’ll make this easier on you, just tell me where he is and I’ll get him so you don’t have to worry about it? But seriously don’t worry about anything just go get that buck
Haven't see it above, maybe try to bare shaft tune and see how it looks? Or if form is the culprit you can shoot the same arrow only for a few days and see how it looks (maybe if knock tune will help?). I always look to form first and then I start to tinker
My wife shoots 42lb with a short draw around 23/24 can’t remember right now and has no issues up to 25/30 with cut on contact head. Shot placement is key (broadside only) and I think having a single pin is helpful
I second the layers part but don't agree with the less branches. As a lot of people have replied I think it's situational. When flying I can bring my saddle and it takes up almost no room. I favor the saddle for short sits because I feel setup is easier however people will go both ways on...
I searched around for this couldn't find a thread. Anyone know why the quota for mulies would go up in a bunch of SW units given the tough winter? Is it not has tough as I've been reading about and the deer are better adapted then I think to take on this 200% Snowpack? Or is this war on mule...
